Haskap and apple crisp

Croustade aux camerises et aux pommes

Ingredients:

Crisps:

  • 1 1/4 cups quick cooking rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 6c. melted butter

Filling:

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 cups frozen haskaps
  • 1 cup apples peeled and cut into small pieces (2 apples)
  • 1 c. melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon juice

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F
CRUSTADE:
  1. In a bowl, combine the dry ingredients
  2. Add the butter and mix until the mixture is moistened.
ACCOMPANIEMENT:
  1. Put the apples and haskaps in a bowl
  2. Add butter, lemon juice, maple syrup, cornstarch and mix well
  3. Divide into 6 ramekins, cover with filling and bake for 45 minutes or until crisp is golden brown
